Amy and Gavin’s Wedding at St Barnabas Church and Omarino Wine Park
Amy and Gavin were married in mid January. The Ceremony was at the beautiful St Barnabas Church with the reception close by at Omarino Wine Park. Ronda Shaskey from Nspyre Red Boutique and Caitlin Wallace Makeup took care of the hair and make up in the morning. Emily Hugo took the photos and I captured things for the video. Here’s what Amy and Gavin had to say about my work 😊
‘We got Rowan to film our wedding day a couple of weeks ago.. We got the next day edit and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!! Waking up the next day and already being able to watch the video and reflect on the day was so much fun! We loved sharing it with our family and friends the days following and still love sharing it now! We wouldn't change a thing about our video and loved what he captured, including many special moments! We were close to not even getting a videographer for our wedding - so if anyone out there is on the fence. DO IT! and get Rowan to do it for you!‘
Gavin and his groomsmen got ready at the Sudima hotel. I started the day capturing their shenanigans and adventures in getting ready. After that I headed out to Swannanoa to capture some lovely moments with Amy.
Amy and Gavin officially joined forces at 1pm at St Barnabas Church on a beautiful Christchurch summer’s day.
Afterwards everyone hung about chatting and catching up. While Emily Hugo took some group photos I floated around getting some candid shots.
We found our way to the picnic area at the McLeans Forest bike track and got some great photos. I love the combination of sun drenched greens and the colours of the bridal party, especially the bridesmaids’ dresses. 🥰
🚁 Surprise Helicopter! 🚁
Amy and Gavin surprised us all by arriving at Omarina Wine Park by helicopter! Then it was on to the reception with cake cutting, speeches and live music from the band Wishlistt.
