Ayla and Hamish’s Wedding Film and Photos

Ayla and Hamish were married in mid December at the Waimakariri Golf Course. They had their Reception in the stables at the Hororata Domain. Ayla and the Bridesmaids had their hair done by Olivia Grey and their makeup by Coutney Smith. Celebrant Hannah Webster made it all official. I was there to immortalise the day through film and photos with my Photo + Video hybrid service. Check out Ayla and Hamish’s Wedding Film Highlights right here, and their full length film at the end of the blog.

To capture Ayla and Hamish’s Wedding I shot a mixture of video and candid photographs throughout the day. Many of the images below are still images extracted from the video footage that was primarily captured to make Ayla and Hamish’s Wedding Film. This is the magic that makes the Photo + Video Hybrid service possible - high resolution video that can be repurposed for still photos. I also employed dedicated photography through many parts of the day, especially for a large group photo, family photos and the bridal party photoshoot.

I started the day catching up with Hamish, his father and the groomsmen just below the Waimakariri golf course where they where shooting clay birds.

Then it was on to see Ayla and her crew who were getting ready at Tuscany Downs Estate just outside of Kirwee.

A short way up the road in Darfield Hamish was getting ready, which included putting the final touchs on his pride and joy!

After a few formal shots with Hamish, the groomsmen and the truck I headed back to Ayla for the final stages of getting ready and her father’s first look. Then we all set out for the ceremony at the Waimakariri Golf Course.

The view from the ceremony spot was just incredible. The sun was out in full force and in no time Ayla and Hamish were declared husband and wife and were heading back down the aisle.

We took some photos at the Waimakariri Golf Course before going a short way down the road to picnic and get some more bridal party photos by the river.

In the stables at the Hororata Domain the party really got started. After all the formalities I took candid group shots for the guests. It was a great vibe, getting loads of photos of lots of guests to round out my coverage of Ayla and Hamish’s wedding day.

It was an awesome day. My thanks to Hamish and Ayla for having me along to capture it all. I thoroughly enjoyed reliving the day as I was putting the film and photos together. Check out Ayla and Hamish’s full wedding film right here…
