Natasha & Dan's Marquee Wedding in the Mackenzie Country

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for the beautiful job you did on our wedding video. We are absolutely thrilled with it, it truly captured the vibe of the day, and we’re so grateful for the care, attention, and artistry you brought to it.

We’ve watched it over and over (and over!) and we love it more each time. Thank you again for making it so special for us! ☺️
— Tash & Dan

In early December, set against the breathtaking high country landscape of Haldon Station in Tekapo, Dan and Tash celebrated their wedding surrounded by love, laughter, and sweeping South Island views. This unforgettable day was captured through a timeless Heirloom Film by Frameboy Wedding Films—a handcrafted cinematic keepsake designed to relive the emotion, energy, and elegance of every moment.

The heartfelt celebration, beautifully photographed by Kate Roberge Photography, reflected Dan and Tash’s laid-back but thoughtful style. Guests enjoyed fire-cooked feasts by Food by Fire, known across New Zealand for their theatrical open-flame Asado BBQ and roaming woodfired pizzas.

As the sun dipped below the Tekapo hills, DJ Motiv turned the evening into a party under the stars—seamlessly blending energy and flow, and keeping the dance floor lit late into the night.

that morning

The Day began at Haldon Station, an incredible area just near Tekapo

I arrived early enough to catch everyone busy with their last minute tasks, even the vacuuming!

With plenty of time to spare, Tash and Dan were keen to take a some time out to go fly fishing, unfortunately they wernt’t lucky enough to catch anything… but I did!

I love this little sequence 😁

Tash starts to get ready

Up the road a bit, Dan and his groomsmen get their gears on

a little toast of whiskey and the boys are ready to go

Tash’s mother helps her into her dress and its go time!

Life starts with the circle of love. Two individuals weave around themselves.

What an epic setting, and Dan constructed the Chuppah himself!

Today is about L’chaim - life.

What you’re going to experience today is a Jee Wee wedding… a kind of Pavlova and kosher combination

The love and compassion of two committed, vitalised people like these two help in a small way to fix the world.

I became a celebrant about four or five years ago when some friends asked me to marry them. I thought it was more a thing of humility, if I could get past the four character references and two referees and a clean police check and go through the process of mock marriage. But I said at the time, this will be the first and last time you’ll see me in this capacity. But I’m really grateful and glad that I went through that, because it’s quite special, and actually emotional, to not marry your sister. I mean, my sister’s wedding. So if you guys could face each other and hold your clammy hands…

I love how he makes me feel loved and cared for

You’re my beloved and my beloved is a beauty

May you be blessed with the kind of love surrounding you today.

that evening

I can’t suggest that I know Natasha as well as I know Daniel, but I know kindness when I see it, and it just exudes out of her. She’s a special person, and I’ve lived long enough to know that kindness is the best attribute any man could have in his wife
— Dave - MC
Natasha, we’re very proud of your fierce, independent spirit. You’ve never expected or wanted material things. You’ve managed to create an independent, happy life and world. Dan, we really appreciate you and your family’s readiness to embrace our family and our Jewishness, and your absolute caring for Tash
— Kerry - Father of the Bride
Finally, to Tash, I want to say, you’re the love of my life. You are the most beautiful, kindest, sweetest, loving person. You support me in everything. You listen to me, let me talk without interrupting, which is impressive, and you’re always cheering me on with a smile or a laugh. You fill my life with joy, you’re a ray of sunshine, and I’m the luckiest man in the world to get to spend the rest of my life with you.
— Dan - Groom

Quickly after the Wedding Day I prepared this short preview video for Natasha and Dan

Here’s what B&G also had to say upon first receiving the preview:

Oh my goodness, you are an amazing! This is so beautiful! We have probably watched it 50+ times already! Thank you so so much. As we already told you, we are quite camera awkward people but you made it so comfortable for us and this preview is so special! Outstanding!

You’re amazing!!!
— Tash & Dan
